Celine and I recently visited Kidville in Chicago. We have a membership with Pearchutekids.com, which is like a class pass but for kids. It’s a pretty amazing site since you don’t have to have a membership at any kid activity centers and you can use your “points” to attend. Check it out! It also works in the suburbs!
So as Celine has gotten older, I realize this girl is fucking bat shit crazy! She won’t speak yet but she will be doing fucking cartwheels off the bed. Like really GIRL?! When I saw that Kidville had a “gym class” I thought, sign us up!
This place literally has a kid friendly gym area with a mini rock climbing wall, a bouncy net thing and everything cushiony. There was a teacher there that brought everyone back into a circle to do other stuff (Celine does not participate in regrouping because why would she) but for the most part it was almost like open play, which they do offer at different times. CELINE WAS IN LOVE! It got her energy out and I was happy she could jump around and not hurt herself.
Another day we attend a rock and roll music class with our friends Alexa and Krista. That too was so well thought out! They had a serious band set up with mics! Like what?? Ok boo boo. The class is pretty entertaining until they take the toys away and Celine has a mini breakdown but other than that, I totes recommend Kidville!
